Levington Lagoon Nature Reserve
Levington Lagoon Nature Reserve is a 5-hectare wetland haven for wading birds and specialist estuary species, located at the bottom of Strattonhall Drift, off Church Lane, Felixstowe. The reserve was formed by a breach in the sea wall during the 1953 floods and is cared for by Suffolk Wildlife Trust on behalf of Suffolk Yacht Harbour Ltd. The site features saltmarsh and mudflats, as well as grassland, and is home to seasonal specialities such as greenshank, redshank, and lapwing. Visitors can follow public footpaths through the reserve and enjoy walking trails, including the Trimley Marshes & Levington Lagoon Circular Walk.
