Alnesbourne Priory Golf Course

Alnesbourne Priory Golf Course is a public, nine-hole golf course that operates entirely on a pay and play basis, meaning you do not need a membership or an advanced booking to turn up and try your luck on the fairways. The layout is structured as a par 31 course spanning 1,900 yards, featuring a combination of five par 3s and four par 4s. The holes wind directly alongside the river saltings and are bordered by mature woodland, offering panoramic views across the water from nearly every tee. The design places a greater premium on accuracy rather than outright power, creating a challenging yet highly accessible round for absolute beginners and seasoned players alike.

The venue features an on-site clubhouse located right next to the final green, where you pay your green fees before stepping out onto the first tee. For those arriving without gear, a limited selection of equipment hire is available directly at the course, provided you contact them ahead of time. If you fancy a bite or a quick drink after your round, the clubhouse bar and restaurant serves refreshments and hot lunches, alongside a selection of breakfast baps available from Thursday to Sunday mornings. The facilities are rounded out by a dedicated free on-site car park for visitors, and the entrance and parking areas provide full wheelchair accessibility.
