Avid Climbing

Avid Climbing is a dedicated indoor bouldering centre that provides low-level climbing over thick safety mats without the need for ropes or harnesses. The main arena features a 7,000-square-foot climbing area with textured wall profiles including slabs, vertical lines, and steep overhangs. Visitors can tackle over 250 colour-graded climbing routes designed to challenge everyone from absolute beginners to advanced climbers. These routes are updated on a consistent weekly rotation by an expert route-setting team to ensure a constant variety of fresh problems.

Beyond the main mats, the centre houses a focused training zone equipped with a varied circuit board, digital training board, campus rungs, and free weights for physical conditioning. Visitors can participate in structured youth climbing courses, beginners social nights, or book one-to-one private coaching sessions with the instructors. An on-site café with a dedicated seating area serves specialty coffee, tea, and locally baked cakes alongside a selection of board games. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible, features an on-site free car park, and offers climbing shoe hire straight from the reception desk.
