Newbourne Woodland Campsite is an adults-only rural retreat that offers a peaceful, back-to-nature outdoor experience. The seven-acre grounds are split into quiet meadow areas and woodland, allowing you to choose exactly where to pitch your tent. For those who prefer a solid roof over their heads, the site also provides three luxury glamping cabins that sleep two people each. The entire focus here is on slow-paced, traditional tent camping, which means caravans and campervans are not permitted, and you will not find any electric hook-ups on the pitches.
The site is packed with practical facilities that make a basic camping trip much more comfortable. There is a high-specification toilet and shower block with round-the-clock hot water, alongside outdoor sinks for washing up dirty dishes. Guests can make use of an on-site honesty shop stocked with essentials, plus a communal undercover hub called the Elephant Shed, which houses a shared fridge, freezer, and phone charging points. Fire baskets and barbecues are available to borrow free of charge, with seasoned logs and charcoal made directly on site available to purchase. There is a designated on-site car park where you leave your vehicle, and wheelbarrows are provided to help you transport your gear straight to your chosen pitch.
