The Botanist

The Botanist is a pub and restaurant that operates out of a converted Victorian building. The venue focuses on a food menu built around fresh herbs and spices alongside an extensive selection of botanical cocktails. When it comes to the main menu, the kitchen is well known for its famous hanging kebabs and juicy plant-based burgers. You can also head in to try their bottomless brunch on weekends or a traditional Sunday roast served with bottomless Yorkshire puddings and gravy.

There are plenty of practical details to keep in mind before you head out for a meal. The premises feature a step-free entrance via an outdoor lift with a powered door, leading into wide indoor paths and an accessible gender-neutral toilet. If the weather is nice, you can sit at the street-side outdoor seating area to watch the world go by. Four-legged friends are welcome to join you as well, since the bar and terrace sections are completely dog-friendly. While there is no dedicated on-site car park at the building itself, you can easily use any of the public car parks situated across the town centre.
