A Love Letter to East Suffolk

Richard Allenby-Pratt, an award-winning photographer, has spent eight years documenting rural life in Suffolk through his project 'The Suffolk Project,' accessible via instagram @thesuffolkproject or his website www.thesuffolkproject.co.uk. Over the past year, his focus shifted to capturing changes in the landscape caused by energy infrastructure developments and recording interviews with those affected. This work received support from East Suffolk District Councillors and was carried out in collaboration with The Long Shop Museum, Leiston. It is now archived at The Hold.

In his 'Love Letter to East Suffolk' talks, Richard presents his photographs of the region, discussing insights gained about the area's landscapes, wildlife, people, traditions, and industries. He also addresses the effects of recent energy projects on the community and the feelings of place and loss experienced by local residents.
