BTCP: Hollow Hand with Mega Bog (solo)

Brighten The Corners is hosting a solo performance by Brighton-based psych-pop project Hollow Hand at The Smokehouse on Thursday 29th October, with Mega Bog (solo) providing support. Max Kinghorn-Mills, the artist behind Hollow Hand, has recently signed to Loose Music following the release of his new record. His 2023 album, Your Own Adventure, was well received by publications such as MOJO, Uncut, BBC 6Music, Brooklyn Vegan, La Blogotheque, Aquarium Drunkard, and Shindig!. Since then, Hollow Hand have been actively touring, including as house band for Caitlin Rose, collaborations with Aoife Nessa Frances, supporting MJ Lenderman across Europe, and joining Willie J Healey on his latest UK tour.

UNCUT described the third album from folk-rock voyager Max Kinghorn-Mills as 'Enchanting and melodic', noting that he 'casts quite a spell'. MOJO praised the project as 'Evoking everyone from Stealers Wheel to Jeff Lynne to Tom Petty, Hollow Hand is a shape-shifting beast'. The Line Of Best Fit remarked that the work offers 'Everything you ever thought you needed from '60s pop, and a little bit more'. Shindig! gave it a 4*, calling it 'Beatles-esque… jangly country-rock and psychedelic pop epiphanies'.
