Symbols for Personal Protection Talk

Throughout history, individuals facing significant uncertainty have often turned to small, meaningful objects they believed could offer protection. In Suffolk, a wide variety of scribed and painted symbols are present, with Timothy Easton suggesting these were frequently created during times of stress, such as periods of extreme weather like that experienced during the little ice age. Timothy Easton, a local artist, sculptor and writer on architectural topics, is recognized for his innovative contributions to his fields.

The talk is suitable for those aged 16 and over and forms part of the Witches: Suffolk's Dark Legacy exhibition, which received support from the Weston Loan Programme with Art Fund and Debach Enterprises.
