EVENT

Words & Verses - 30 November

Join Ipswich's longest running spoken word open mic, Words & Verses, for a night of funny and fearless spoken word in the New Wolsey Theatre bar. This friendly and authentic event, now in its 14th year, welcomes writers and performers to share their original work, including poetry, rap, comedy, and storytelling.

Amy Wragg, a poet and performer from SoapBox Spoken Word CIC, hosts the event, which has taken her to festivals such as WOMAD and Strawberry Fair. The event is free, and attendees will receive a handmade SoapBox Zine. Amy's work is known for being honest, playful, and bold, and she regularly gigs across the region. The event is inclusive and safe, with a focus on respectful audience participation. A free, handmade zine will be available to all attendees.
