Wyrd Sister

Meet Angharad, a charismatic nomad and centuries-old witch, who travels barefoot over East Anglia with a wheelie bag containing human heads, trophies from her past relationships. She re-enacts her cherished memories through ritual and shamanic dance, accompanied by live drumming. However, Angharad is not alone, as she is pursued by her 'Shadow', a creature intent on exposing her darkest secrets.

This darkly comic tale of one woman's supernatural emotional baggage is presented by Contemporary Ritual Theatre, a pioneering company from Great Yarmouth. The company's unique style, known as 'ritual theatre', combines the ancient and modern to create a visceral and immersive experience. WYRD SISTER marks the company's Ipswich premiere and follows their critically acclaimed first project SALT, which has been toured across the UK.
