Saxons Badminton vs Manchester Hive

Saxons Badminton, based in Ipswich, will begin their new season as champions after securing the National Badminton League trophy. The team is excited to showcase the trophy at their upcoming match against Manchester Hive. Following last season’s achievements, Saxons have retained most of their NBL squad, reflecting the strong camaraderie developed during their title-winning campaign. The team is coached by Anthony Clark, an international coach and former Olympian, with Leona Lee serving as captain.

Supporting the squad are Callum Hemming, a European Mixed Silver Medalist, Lisa Curtin, and other emerging players aiming for Olympic qualification. Local talents Brandon Yap, Chloe Dennis, and Kayleigh Williams will also be key members as they seek to retain their title. Manchester Hive, led by new management including Gail Emms, a former Olympian and international star, will be making their debut in the NBL with a competitive squad.
